Today was my weekly weigh in for BLBE and I was down one measly pound. I was a bit discouraged because I thought it would be more. Still, it’s a loss.
B & I went for a 45 minute walk this morning, and I spent most of the rest of the day doing chores. So I feel my activity level was quite good. But…
I kind of went off my food program today. I stayed on most of the day...yogurt for breakfast, a turkey sandwich, carrots and fruit for lunch.
Then late afternoon, I got a bit compulsive. About 4 p.m., I was hungry so I ate a “Think Thin” lo-carb bar, then a bag of single serving popcorn. For dinner, hubby suggested delivery pizza. I will say that only had 2 pieces (rather than my usual 4) and 2 glasses of wine. So it wasn’t the best day, but at least I’m more aware of what I’m eating when I get off my program.
Oh well, it’s Friday, after a hard week, it feels good to relax and enjoy my life a bit. Otherwise, what's the point of living? But…I’ll get right back into it tomorrow! Buster & I have a BIG walk planned for tomorrow with a friend who has 2 dogs of the same breed as B. We always have the best time!
I hope everyone is having a good Friday…and by the way, thanks for all your support. You all keep me sane.
At least you're losing. I've gained .2 and .2 since we started BLBE2. I feel like a loser but not in a good way. I swear this next weigh will be different!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
(with all hesitation I type:) but it is DOWNWARD and it's a pound!
ReplyDeletehere's to a good relaxing weekend and the scale PLUMMETING next week,

1 lb is FANTASTIC!!! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing great girl! I thought the most amazing part was that you only ate 2 pieces of delivery pizza, on a night where you felt kind of discouraged. That is an amazing feat. :) Keep it up friend! :)
ReplyDeleteDon't get too discouraged - stay positive! I think you're doing great! Hope I see at least a 1# loss in the morning.
ReplyDeleteI find it hard to pass up pizza also. Two slices isn't bad really.
1 pound is an awesome loss!! It is not easy to get caught up in everyones elses excitement of losing big numbers and not expect that yourself. Hang in there - slow and steady you will get where you want to be!
ReplyDeleteI love walks with the dogs...!!!!! Glad you are taking advantage of yours too! You did great- two pieces of pizza usually doesn't do harm (now the whole pie... that is another story).
ReplyDeleteLife is about living, you're right. Living this journey of weight loss and getting healthier is going to set challenges in your way such as pizza and wine. Who could resist those things. I think, and really, who do I think I am, but that you should have these foods or else you'll go in to resentment mode. Life isn't a controlled environment where all the 'bad' foods are taken out of your world. That you ate 2 pieces rather than 4 is a huge accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteHope you had fun on your walk.
Hugs,
I understand your frustration. I have not lost anything in nearly two weeks. I just remind myself that I know I am doing things that are great for my health, and that keeps me going.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed by and jealous of your measly pound. Excellent, excellent work!
