First of all, thank you to everyone who left comments regarding yesterday’s post. I really needed some wisdom, and so many folks came through for me. You were right…I did need a day off, that’s what my body was telling me!
I went to bed an hour early, and slept in an extra half hour. Today I felt SOOOO much better. In fact, I felt great. I was excited to work out and I worked out hard…40 minutes on the treadmill and 40 minutes of weights.
Another interesting thing… I had no food cravings today! Yesterday, I had an incredible craving for ice cream. So, it got me to thinking… maybe sometimes my binge eating and food cravings are related to being tired. It never occurred to me before that the two might have some direct correlation.
So, I’m going to keep track of this… I’ll take note if my tiredness level as it relates to my desire to eat unhealthy foods.
Wouldn’t it be great if a lot of my crazy eating could be controlled by getting enough sleep?
I read about lack of sleep in relation to weight loss stalls a week or so ago when another blogger that I read (Craig's Fat Loss) was questioning the very same thing. I vlogged about it but didn't list the articles that I read ... basically I learned that too little sleep can make your body react in a similar manner to a diabetic. Glad you are feeling better and sleeping more. I know what it's like to be under an enormous amount of deadlines. Take care and grats on your great workout!
