I can’t believe I haven’t posted since last Thursday! I’ve had such a busy week…yet I can’t really pinpoint what I’ve been doing. I’m really sorry I haven’t visited or commented on anyone’s blog lately. I’ll try to get caught up on what’s going on in everyone’s life.
For about two weeks now, I have been working out a lot, mostly at Curves, where I’ve been doing between 45 minutes and an hour, at top speed so that I’m really sweating when I’m done. I’ve also been walking a lot.
Diet has been mostly good too. I’ve been taking my food to work every day (about 800 calories for the day) and then for dinner…we've been having a a big salad or veggies, with some fish or meat. Then a 100 cal treat, like a WW ice cream bar or some fruit. I think everything adds up to about 1500-1600 calories a day. I’ve also been really trying to drink more water and get to bed at a decent hour so I’m not so tired…you know, all those things they say will help you lose weight. Duh.
I’m actually feeling the difference already! Hub even commented that I was getting really skinny…well, that’s quite an exaggeration and he always says that whenever he wants something, if you know what I mean (ha ha). But I do feel better and I'm already noticing my arms getting toned like when I used to lift weights a lot. Not necessarily skinnier, I just feel as if I’m standing taller, and PMT seems to be receding a bit. We’ll see what the scale says on Friday…
In other news…B has been quite perky and not limping at all. Yay! I took him for a couple of 30 minute walks (strolls) this weekend, and then I went off on my own for some real cardio. I’m still a bit sad when I think about how much fun we used to have on our really long walks in the past, but I’m just so glad that he’s his old happy self.
I’m a bit pissed about the TV schedule…Biggest Loser, Dancing with the Stars, and Hells Kitchen all on the same night and at the same time. Grrrr. We have to DVR one (HK) and then switch back and forth between the other two.
Well, the shows are almost over, I still need to clean up the kitchen and take B outside before we go to bed. I’ll try to visit everyone in the next few days. Take care!
Great update! Glad to hear things are going well for you and for B.
ReplyDeletesounds like you are doing wonderfully and so is B. Well done both of you!
ReplyDeleteBeen missing you! Glad you and B are doing well. Maybe you could get a stroller for B then he could still go along. I've seen them for dogs :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you about the scheduling of BL & DWTS (don't watch HK, must sacrifice something, I guess). We go all summer with nothing good to watch, then they put them all on at the same time! The nerve...
So glad to hear you're doing well! I need to work on my sleep too - never get enough.
ReplyDeleteAlso happy to hear about B. Ruffle his fur real good for me. hehehe
It's sooooo annoying when they pit good shows against one another. Grrr!!
sounds like you're doing great!
ReplyDeleteso happy to hear B is back to his old self!!
I posted to your other comment and was wondering at the time how B is doing. So glad to hear he's feeling better. Cute little guy! MWAH!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've always disliked television programmers for ganging up on us viewers like that and making us choose. That is just torture. I struggle with Wednesday nights CSI/Private Practice and on Thursdays CSI/Grey's Anatomy. Most other nights I'm okay with giving something up.
Hugs!
You are so sweet to want to donate to me and my team.
ReplyDeleteMy team name is Passionately Pink and my name is Tammy! :) I'm silly and very tired.
